The candidate will be responsible for providing application support for the Life Asia and Group Asia systems. This role involves ensuring system stability, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and resolving production incidents to maintain seamless business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor system processes and modules to ensure smooth day-to-day (BAU) activities.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Collaborate with BSG and development teams to address bug fixes and implement enhancements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, incident resolutions, and system changes.
- Coordinate with other system support teams to ensure timely resolution of integration-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in COBOL and SQL (DB2) — mandatory. Experience with AS400 (Life Asia/Group Asia/Smart 400) or Mainframe systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Solid debugging capabilities (ISDB/STDB) with robust logical deduction and reasoning abilities.
- Development Tools: Working knowledge of application development toolsets such as PDM, SDA, and SEU.
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance processes and systems will be considered an added advantage.
