Job Description:

ROLE OVERVIEW

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to build and manage our deployment infrastructure, automate our delivery pipelines, and keep our applications running reliably and securely. You'll own the setup and administration of Ubuntu-based servers that host PHP Laravel, Node.js, and Next.js applications — including FinTech applications where robust security and compliance are critical — and design the CI/CD workflows that ship them to production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Set up, configure, and maintain Ubuntu-based dedicated servers to run PHP Laravel, Node.js, Next.js, and other web applications.

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and GitHub Actions for automated build, test, and deployment.

Manage and optimize infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).

Implement and maintain security controls for FinTech applications — encryption in transit and at rest, secrets management, network segmentation, least-privilege access, and audit logging in line with financial-grade compliance requirements.





Configure and manage web servers (Nginx / Apache), process managers (PM2, Supervisor), and runtime environments (PHP-FPM, Node).

Containerize applications using Docker and manage orchestration where needed.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) for reproducible, version-controlled environments.

Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK) and respond to incidents.

Manage SSL certificates, domains, firewalls, and server hardening for security and compliance.

Handle database setup, backups, and disaster recovery (PostgreSQL / MySQL).

Optimize performance, cost, and scalability across infrastructure.

Collaborate with development teams to streamline releases and troubleshoot deployment issues.
