Description
Drives cross-team platform initiatives with significant impact on product behaviour, security, reliability, performance, and compliance across the group. Anticipates and resolves ambiguous problems; sets compatibility and deprecation strategies to minimize downstream risk. Establishes shared observability frameworks, SLOs, and capacity models used by multiple teams. Defines architectural guardrails, platform security infrastructure guidance, and reference implementations.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems.

Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are wide-ranging and complex needing independent judgment.



Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Software Development:
- Set guardrails for platform security infrastructure, RBAC and governance.
- Own cross-team programs with measurable reliability/performance impact.
- Establish shared observability frameworks and rollout practices adopted by numerous teams

Software Development and Coding - Design, Testing, and Optimization:
- Leads project initiatives to design software solutions and identify and analyze requirements. Writes and defines code for new projects or prototypes.
- Builds software applications following established secure coding standards.
- Adheres to and improves execution of all phases of the software development lifecycle; coaches engineers across teams or units to drive improvements.
