As a Sr. Principal Software Engineer with a focus on Software Engineering Capabilities, Excellence Metrics, and Patient Safety, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that our software systems meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will be working with software teams in Cardiaovascular, Medical Surgical and Neuroscience portfolios at MEIC, and will play a key role in promoting best practices, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that our software solutions align with both technical and regulatory requirements. This is a leadership role responsible for setting and monitoring software excellence deliverables, ensuring patient safety standards,



and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration across the organization. Reports to the Director of Software Technology. Collaborates with cross-functional teams (business analysts, developers, end-users) to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product management, and quality teams to assess project progress and ensure alignment with software excellence metrics, quality goals, and maturity standards.
Software Maturity & KPIs: Drive software maturity initiatives, tracking KPIs such as defect density, technical debt, and code quality. Implement frameworks to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability across the software lifecycle.
DevOps Integration: Oversee the integration of DevOps practices, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating testing, an
