Job Responsibilities
- Install and upgrade electrical wiring, fixtures, appliances, and control systems in recent or existing structures.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure electrical systems function safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose electrical problems, identify the causes of malfunctions, and repair or replace damaged components, circuits, or equipment.
- Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to understand system layouts and plan installation or repair work.
- Adhere to local and national electrical codes, building regulations, and safety procedures to ensure all work meets standards.
- Use testing equipment, such as ammeters and voltmeters, to verify circuit continuity and ensure systems are operating correctly.
- Maintain records of installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.
