OverviewThe Electrical Maintenance position plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems within our organization. Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment and systems, the Electrical Maintenance Technician ensures that all electrical installations and machinery operate at peak performance. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and preventative maintenance techniques to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

The technician collaborates with various departments to support operations, assessing electrical needs, and providing solutions that enhance functionality and safety. Moreover, this position contributes to the overall operational success by adhering to industry standards and regulations, thereby safeguarding both equipment and personnel. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and practical experience, coupled with a commitment to continuous improvement and safety compliance.

As an integral member of our maintenance team, the Electrical Maintenance Technician helps sustain the organization’s growth and efficiency while ensuring equipment longevity and reliability.Key Responsibilities

- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and components.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues promptly and effectively.
- Repair and replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, and related electrical components.




- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with engineers and other maintenance team members on projects.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the installation of new electrical systems and upgrades as needed.
- Conduct testing and calibration of equipment and electrical systems.
- Respond to emergency electrical failures and implement quick resolutions.
- Provide training and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices.
- Monitor inventory levels of electrical parts and materials.
- Implement energy-saving measures and initiatives.
- Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings.
- Stay updated on the latest electrical technologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications preferred.
- Proven experience as an electrical maintenance technician in an industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Solid teamwork and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Willingness to work in various environments and conditions.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for long periods.
- Valid electrician's license or certification is a plus.
