The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
3M is seeking a talented and experienced Data Architect to join our Data Product Engineering organization. As a key contributor, you will shape the architecture, standards, and strategic direction of data products across the enterprise. You will collaborate with curious, creative, and diverse teams around the world, driving clarity,



consistency, and scalability in how data is designed, governed, and consumed.

As a Data Architect, Data Product Engineering, you will make an impact by:
- Defining and maintaining enterprise data product architecture standards, including Lakehouse‑based storage and modeling patterns, structured raw/curated/consumable layers, and strong domain boundaries.
- Guiding data product teams on schema design, data modeling for AI/analytics, and how to build reusable, scalable data products that serve multiple organizational use cases.
- Establishing AWS-based reference architectures for data products leveraging S3 Lakehouse storage (e.g., Iceberg), AWS Glue metadata management, and Lake Formation governance and access control.
