We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Head to oversee our dispatch operations, ensuring timely and productive delivery of products while maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance. As a Dispatch Head, you will manage and optimize the dispatch operations, coordinating with production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate deliveries.

The person should have minimum 10 years of experience in the food packaging industry, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and customer satisfaction in a high-volume production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management

- Real-Time Tracking: Utilize software to monitor stock levels and automate inventory updates.

- Forecasting: Analyse sales data to predict demand and adjust stock levels accordingly.

2. Order Fulfilment

- Pick and Pack: Streamline the process of picking items from shelves and packing them for shipment.

- Automation: Implement technology like conveyor belts and robotics to speed up fulfilment.

3. Shipping and Logistics

- Carrier Partnerships: Collaborate with multiple shipping carriers to optimize costs and delivery times.

- Last-Mile Delivery: Focus on efficient last-mile delivery solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.

4. Returns Management

- Easy Returns Process: Create a straightforward returns policy to encourage customer trust and satisfaction.

- Reverse Logistics:



Implement an efficient process to handle returned items and reintegrate them into inventory.

5. Customer Experience

- Transparency: Provide customers with real-time tracking information and updates on their orders.

- Personalization: Use data to tailor packaging and communication to individual customers.

6. Technology Integration

- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS): Use WMS to manage inventory and streamline operations.

- E-commerce Integration: Ensure seamless connectivity between the e-commerce platform and the warehouse system.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; additional certifications in logistics or dispatch management are a plus.

- 10-15 years of experience in dispatch operations within the food packaging or FMCG industry.

- Strong knowledge of food packaging standards, including hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance for food-grade materials.

- Proven experience in inventory management, logistics coordination, and dispatch optimization.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

- Proficiency in SAP and other ERP systems.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction.

- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
