Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Linux & Infrastructure Focus)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who can design, build, troubleshoot, and secure production systems. This role requires strong expertise in Linux, networking, and real-world infrastructure management. This is not a pipeline-only DevOps role.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Systems:

● Design and deploy cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, or Digital Ocean)

● Configure and manage Linux servers in production environments ● Set up and optimize Nginx/Apache for high-performance workloads ● Implement reverse proxy, SSL, DNS, and load balancing ● Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery

Production Operations:

● Debug real-time production issues (CPU, memory, network, latency)

● Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures ● Monitor system performance using logs, metrics, and alerts ● Optimize system performance (kernel tuning, file descriptors, process limits)

DevOps (Practical Implementation):

● Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

● Manage Docker-based deployments and container environments ● Automate infrastructure using Terraform / Ansible

Security & Hardening:

● Identify and fix system and application vulnerabilities ● Implement firewall rules, WAF, Fail2Ban, and intrusion detection ● Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments ● Monitor and respond to security incidents

Required Skills:





● Strong Linux command-line expertise (top, htop, netstat, ss, lsof, tcpdump)

● Experience configuring Nginx/Apache from scratch ● Good understanding of DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, reverse proxy ● Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, ports, firewalls)

● Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization ● Experience with at least one cloud platform ● Ability to debug production issues independently ● Knowledge of server hardening and security best practices

Preferred Skills:

● Understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities ● Experience with WAF/CDN (e.g., Cloudflare)

● Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana ● Experience securing Node.js, Python, or web applications ● Knowledge of database performance and security

Mandatory Practical Experience (At least 2 required):

● Set up a production server from scratch ● Configured Nginx as a reverse proxy with SSL ● Handled and resolved a real production outage ● Implemented firewall rules or Fail2Ban manually ● Tuned systems for performance under load
