- Works closely with project engineers.
- Produces plan & profile drawings, perspective drawings, overlays, base drawings, map and illustrations, using AutoCAD. Prepares quantities and cost estimates.
- May be expected to design portions of a project.
- Makes calculations, using engineering formulas & skills.
- Use catalogs to specify items where original design is not required.
- Instructs drafters how to reduce designs into completed drawings.
- Performs research and writes reports.
- Perform research and writes opinions.
- Use computer to run standard programs in order to solve engineering problems
- May write special programs to resolve unusual engineering problems.
- Must be familiar with computer-aided design.
