- Thinking of possible design solutions
- Feasibility study where the design will work cost effectively.
- Using computer-aided design (CAD), Solid Works and computer-assisted engineering (CAE) software to create prototypes
- Collecting and analysing data from tests on prototypes
- Modifying designs and retesting them
- Writing regular progress reports and presenting them to project managers and clients
- Knowledge on QMS, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP tools
- Preparation of Bill of Materials of NPD products.
- Min. Tooling knowledge on Sheet metal process tooling
