Strategic

- Manage the recruitment activities for Essar Capital and for senior leadership positions for all Essar portfolio companies in line with the talent acquisition processes and set guidelines

- Support the development of a recruitment plan based on identified manpower needs across functions in Essar Capital and for senior leadership positions in its portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with allocated budget

- Check relevant recruitment events, campus placement dates of top universities/colleges across the country and gain approval on participation for participation

- Identify recruitment agencies, headhunters and recruitment channels for the region/country for senior positions to support Essar Capital in recruitment activities for global locations

- Provide support in identification of critical positions across functions and teams, along with Head - HR, and provide support in creation of succession plans for each critical position

Talent Sourcing and Screening

- Develop yearly sourcing plan, provide inputs on the selection of internal and external channels mix e.g. internal promotions, job rotations, employee referrals, sourcing through social media and job portals, attending job fairs, etc.

- Recommend guidelines for sourcing channels and manage sourcing activities ensuring attraction of best-fit candidates and ensure implementation of the same

- Ensure proper awareness on internal vacant positions to attract quality internal candidates

- Review shortlisted applications/ CVs and candidates in coordination with external recruitment agencies and schedule interviews with shortlisted candidates,

- Assist in first round interview if needed and present list of selected candidates for the second interview for seniors to decide on actions

- Develop talent pools and ensure all info related to shortlisted candidates are recorded and maintained for future reference

Talent Assessment and Selection

- Coordinate with external recruitment agencies, when needed,



to assist in screening employees carefully or even interviewing them to decide on action and accordingly select best fit candidates

- Schedule interviews for candidates with the hiring managers and the management team as per the requirement

- Participate in candidate assessments / interviews as required and ensure gathering the interviewers findings after the interviews by the hiring managers or the senior management

- Analyze recruitment assessment results and ensure all the information related to potential candidates are available to facilitate decision making by the selection panel

- Review interview performance feedback and accordingly provide recommendation for the best-fit candidate to the hiring manager or the Head– HR

Hiring and Onboarding

- Provide needed clarifications for candidates regarding job expectations, roles and responsibility

- Participate in any salary negotiations required with shortlisted candidates and ensure a win-win situation

- Prepare the final employment contract for selected candidate is in line with the approved job position, salary structure and Essar group’s compliance and legal norms

- Conduct background check for selected candidates and in case issues are identified, immediately inform the Head HR and revoke the offer letter and choose another candidate from the talent pool

- Lead the planning and effective coordination of relocation logistics for the selected candidates, if required

- Oversee the development of onboarding checklist, guidelines and a comprehensive employee handbook for a successful and efficient onboarding

- Ensure required documents and formalities are ready to be filled by new joiners in alignment with Essar Group’s onboarding policies and regulations

- Prepare and execute induction program ensuring all new candidates are aware of Essar Capital’s values, culture and change initiatives

- Ensure all assets such as official email, company laptop, company ID card, access card, etc. are provided to recent joiners in order to facilitate access and job execution
