Data Engineer — Real Estate

Location: India | Type: Full-time

Reports to: Head of Data / Analytics Engineering

Role Purpose

Build and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch/stream), ensure data quality & governance, and power AI/analytics products (pricing, demand forecasting, churn/occupancy).

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and operate ELT/ETL pipelines from PMS/ERP/CRM (e.g., Yardi, MRI, SAP/Oracle, Salesforce), leasing, transactions, and IoT/BMS sources.

- Model data for warehouse/lakehouse (e.g., Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift/Databricks) and transform with dbt/Spark.

- Orchestrate with Airflow/Prefect; implement CDC and streaming (Kafka/Kinesis).

- Implement data quality checks (e.g., Outstanding Expectations), SLAs/SLOs,



and documentation.

- Expose clean semantic layers for BI and features for ML (feature stores).

- Optimize cost, performance, reliability; CI/CD, IaC (Terraform).

Requirements

- 3–6 years in data engineering with strong SQL and Python.

- Hands-on with one major cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Experience integrating real-estate systems (PMS/IoT/BMS) and geospatial/GIS is a plus.

KPIs

- Pipeline uptime & data freshness SLAs, failed-job rate, DQ test coverage, cost/performance efficiency.
