We are seeking a seasoned Senior Disaster Recovery Professional to collaborate with our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the continuity of our critical business operations. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive disaster recovery strategies and plans across our data center infrastructure. Your expertise in various data center technologies and a proven track record in disaster recovery automation will be instrumental in safeguarding our organization's resilience.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery plans and procedures, aligning them with business continuity objectives and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and weaknesses in our disaster recovery infrastructure.Design and implement effective data backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability in the event of a disaster.Lead the development and execution of disaster recovery testing and drills, validating the effectiveness of our plans and identifying areas for improvement.Manage and maintain disaster recovery infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components.Security policy enforcement- Implementing and enforcing network security policies to protect against unauthorized access, cyberattacks, and data breaches.Firewall management- Configuring and managing firewalls to control network traffic and block malicious activity.Intrusion detection and prevention- Deploying and managing intrusion detection and prevention systems to identify and mitigate security threats.Compliance management- Ensuring that the network infrastructure complies with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).Incident response- Responding to network-related incidents, such as hardware failures, software errors, or connectivity issues.Problem diagnosis- Identifying the root cause of network problems and implementing appropriate solutions.Documentation- Maintaining detailed documentation of network infrastructure, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.Network projects- Participating in network-related projects, such as upgrades, migrations, or new network implementations.Vendor management- Coordinating with network vendors to resolve issues, obtain support, Collaboration- Working closely with other IT teams, such as system administrators and security engineers, to ensure seamless integration and operation of network systems.Providing technical support- Assisting users with network-related issues, such as connectivity problems, access restrictions, or software installation.Monitoring- Continuously monitoring switch performance, traffic volumes,



and error logs to identify and address any issues.Configuration- Updating switch configurations to implement changes in network topology, VLANs, or security settings.Troubleshooting- Diagnosing and resolving switch-related problems, such as port conflicts, link failures, or performance issues.Monitoring- Tracking VPN performance, traffic volumes, and error logs to identify and address any issues.Configuration- Updating VPN configurations to implement changes in access policies, encryption protocols, or authentication methods.Troubleshooting- Diagnosing and resolving VPN-related problems, such as connection failures, slow performance, or security breaches.Monitoring- Tracking firewall performance, traffic patterns, and intrusion attempts to identify and address any security threats.Configuration- Updating firewall rules to implement changes in access control, port filtering, or application blocking.Troubleshooting- Diagnosing and resolving firewall-related problems, such as blocked traffic, false positives, or performance issues.Maintenance- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as firmware updates, hardware replacements, and cleaning.In addition to these specific tasks, network administrators may also be involved in-Capacity planning- Ensuring that network infrastructure can handle current and future traffic loads.Security audits- Conducting regular security audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.Vendor management- Coordinating with network equipment vendors to obtain support, resolve issues.Collaboration- Working with other IT teams, such as system administrators and security engineers, to ensure the overall health and security of the network.Installation, configuration, build/documenting Storage across various vendors. (HPE, IBM, EMC, NetApp etc.)Installation, configuration, build/documenting Backup/Recovery software across various vendors. (Veeam, IBM, Commvault, Net-backup etc.)Planning for future capacity needs to avoid storage shortages or bottlenecks.Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal data access and processing speeds.Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as firmware updates, hardware replacements, and system cleaning, to prevent failures and improve reliability.Scheduling and executing daily backups of critical data to protect against data loss due to hardware failures,



human errors, or cyberattacks.Testing backup procedures to ensure their effectiveness and verifying that data can be restored successfully.Expertise in various operating systems like Windows, Linux, Virtualization like VMWare, Hyper-V.Proficient with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle cloud etc)Disaster recovery planning, Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a catastrophic failure.Data encryption, encrypting sensitive data at rest and in transit to protect it from unauthorized access.Compliance management, ensuring that storage systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standardsResponding to storage-related incidents, such as hardware failures, software errors, or performance issues.Identifying the root cause of storage problems and implementing appropriate solutions.Maintaining detailed documentation of storage systems, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.Participating in storage-related projects, such as upgrades, migrations, or new storage implementations.Coordinating with storage vendors to resolve issues, obtain support.Working closely with other IT teams, such as network administrators and database administrators, to ensure seamless integration and operation of storage systems.Database design, implementation, data management, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, troubleshooting and documentationStay updated on the latest advancements in disaster recovery technologies and best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of disaster recovery strategies across the organization.Provide expert guidance and support to business units during disaster recovery incidents.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.4-8 years of hands-on experience in data center technologies, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization.Proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing disaster recovery solutions.Strong understanding of disaster recovery methodologies and frameworks (e.g., BCDR, DRP).Expertise in data backup and recovery technologies (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).Experience with disaster recovery automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Solid communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional

Skills (Preferred): Certifications in disaster recovery (e.g., CDP, CBCP).Experience with cloud-based disaster recovery solutions.Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS).
