Description

As a Consultant - Project Controls, you will be part of the NZ GCC PMO team in WSP India and operate out of our Noida/Bengaluru office. The role will support the delivery of client needs by providing high-quality project controls services, including pricing template management, KPI tracking, governance checks, reporting, and project support ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability of project data and controls across WSP’s portfolio. Exposure to overseas Water/ Infrastructure projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

- Own and update pricing templates for panels, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client procedures.

- Track and report panel KPIs; prepare dashboards and portfolio-level reporting.

- Review offers, Statements of Work (SoWs), and work orders for:

- Correct rates and client-specific requirements.

- Accuracy of calculations.

- Consistency with pricing in offers and standard pricing templates (SPTs).

- Perform quality and Integrated Management System (IMS) checks, including:

- Following up projects where go/no-go approvals are outstanding.

- Tracking outcomes for bids in SPP.

- Chasing missing project reviews.

- Provide project support to NZ-based Project Managers, including reporting, governance compliance, and data management.

- Assist in bid preparation through data gathering, compliance checks, and reporting.

- Complete tasks within allocated timeframes and budgeted hours

- Produce reports and presentations in English suitable for internal and client presentation, demonstrating a high level of accuracy and grammatical presentation.

- Undertake self-verification of work prior to submission.

- Support portfolio reporting, including S-curves, KPI dashboards, and trend analysis.





- Set up the baseline schedule and control procedures for assigned projects and monitor progress against the plan; flag variances and potential risks early and in a proactive manner.

- Assist Project Managers in Horizon support (Oracle ERP tool) to manage the project financials.

Key Competencies / Skills
- Hands on experience in Primavera 6, Microsoft Project, Power BI and other Planning and Control software.

- Understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT), Earned Value Management (EVM) etc.

- Strong numeracy skills with demonstrated ability to review and verify pricing templates, bids, SoWs, and work orders for accuracy and compliance.

- Knowledge of contract/commercial frameworks (NEC, FIDIC, or equivalent) and how they link to cost and schedule.

- Exposure to Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and compliance processes.

- Experience in risk and issue tracking, with ability to document and report mitigations.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy in financial, schedule, and reporting data.

- Robust problem-solving ability, able to identify issues early and propose practical solutions.

- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills; ability to quickly learn and apply other tools such as Power BI or scheduling software.

- Clear and concise written English, with experience producing reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.





- Demonstrates the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while staying aligned to onshore team requirements.

Qualifications

- Minimum: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Planning or equivalent qualification. Post graduation in project management preferred.

- Expertise in Primavera / MS Projects, advance Excel etc. is mandatory; Power BI, understanding statistical analysis and coding experience preferred.

- CAPM, PMP, or Prince 2 certification preferred.

- Membership of professional organisations like PMI, RICS, APM etc. preferred.

- Experience from the range of 3-6 years. Exposure to overseas Water/ Infrastructure projects is preferred.
