About the Role
Cloud Infrastructure Engineers at Rubiscape architect and operate the multi-cloud foundation that runs one of India's most demanding enterprise data and AI platforms. Rubiscape is deployed across AWS, Azure, GCP,
and OCI — as fully managed SaaS, customer-hosted BYOC, hybrid, on-premises, and air-gapped configurations — serving Fortune 500 customers with stringent latency, data residency, and compliance requirements.
You will own the networking, compute, storage, and security layers that make all six Rubiscape studios reliable at scale. This role demands deep multi-cloud fluency, a security-first mindset, and the infrastructure-as-code discipline to make every
environment reproducible and auditable.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and build cloud landing zones and account/subscription structures across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI — implementing hub-spoke networking, VPC/VNet design, Transit Gateway / Virtual WAN, and private connectivity patterns.
• Own infrastructure-as-code for all cloud environments using Terraform — maintaining modular library, enforcing naming conventions, and managing state backends with appropriate locking and access controls.
• Architect and implement cloud-native security controls: IAM least-privilege roles, SCPs/Azure Policy, network security groups, WAF rulesets, and DLP posture management using CSPM tooling.
• Design multi-region data residency architectures for customers in regulated sectors (BFSI, government, healthcare) — ensuring compliance with RBI, IRDAI, and DPDP Act data localisation requirements.
• Manage cloud cost optimisation initiatives — reserved instance / savings plan strategy, rightsizing recommendations, and Kubernetes compute cost allocation with Kubecost.
• Support BYOC deployment engineering: work with enterprise customers' cloud teams to deploy Rubiscape into customer-owned AWS / Azure / GCP / OCI accounts with agreed network isolation and egress controls.
• Establish and maintain cloud infrastructure runbooks, disaster recovery playbooks, and backup/restore procedures aligned to enterprise SLA commitments.
Nice to Have
• Experience with air-gapped or disconnected cloud environments — including private artefact registries, offline OS package mirrors, and bastion-based access patterns for defence or government deployments.
• Exposure to OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) including OKE, VCN design, and FastConnect.
• Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Qualified Cloud Architect, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with FinOps tooling and experience presenting cloud cost optimisation roadmaps to engineering and finance leadership.

Requirements
Requirements
• 4+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience with deep hands-on expertise in at least two of AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
• Expert-level Terraform skills — multi-cloud provider configuration, module design, Terragrunt-based environment composition, and state management at scale.
• Strong networking fundamentals: BGP, OSPF, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and cloud-native networking constructs across major cloud providers.
• Experience designing and operating Kubernetes clusters on managed cloud services (EKS, AKS, GKE, OKE) including cluster networking (CNI plugins), ingress controllers, and storage classes.
• Working knowledge of cloud security frameworks — CIS Benchmarks, NIST CSF, or ISO 27001 — and experience implementing technical controls against them.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for infrastructure automation, custom tooling, and cloud SDK scripting.
