A Civil Engineer in a steel manufacturing company plans, designs, and supervises the construction and maintenance of plant infrastructure, including structural steel foundations, heavy machinery bays, and industrial buildings. Key responsibilities include structural analysis, ensuring safety compliance, and overseeing construction teams. Key Responsibilities

- Design & Analysis: Perform structural analysis, design steel/RCC elements (beams, columns, crane foundations, storage areas), and create blueprints using software like AutoCAD and STAAD Pro.
- Site Supervision: Oversee construction, installation, and maintenance of plant buildings, warehouses, and roads.
- Steel Structure Focus: Supervise steel fabrication and erection works for PEB (Pre-Engineered Buildings) or industrial projects.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety standards (EHS), IS codes, and perform material testing, including NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and cube testing.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources (BOQs/MTOs) from conception to completion.
- Maintenance:



Monitor the structural integrity of existing plant buildings and plan for repairs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- Experience: Generally requires 3–8 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or steel plant environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and structural analysis software (SAP2000, STAAD Pro).
