The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a minerals processing plant directs all financial, commercial, and operational accounting strategies. This executive role requires optimizing working capital, managing trade finance, tracking mine-to-market costs, and ensuring strict compliance with both financial regulations and heavy-industry environmental or operational standards. Key Responsibilities

- Operational & Mining Finance: Track project-wise profitability, cost structures, and margins for mineral processing. Monitor logistical expenses, procurement costs, royalties, and metal/mineral pricing models.

- Trade Finance & Treasury: Manage trade instruments (e.g., Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Export Credit) essential for global commodity trading. Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and forex hedging strategies to mitigate currency risks in international trade.

- Financial Strategy & Capital: Develop long-term financial plans, conduct feasibility studies for plant expansions, and source capital through debt or equity for new processing equipment.

- Risk Management & Governance: Lead internal, statutory, and tax audits. Ensure strong financial governance and identify mitigation strategies for commodity price fluctuations and supply chain disruptions.

- Reporting & Compliance:



Oversee accounting operations to prepare accurate financial reports for the board. Ensure full compliance with direct/indirect tax laws and regulatory filings.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. Qualified qualifications like CA, CMA, or CPA are highly preferred.

- Experience: 12 to 20+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, ideally within the mining, manufacturing, or international trade sectors.

- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the mining and minerals supply chain, including inventory cycles, capital expenditure (CapEx), and operational expenditure (OpEx).
