We have been retained by a leading company in the Construction and Infrastructure Sector to search and place a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with them to plan and execute the organization’s financial strategy.

The candidate for the position shall be expected to be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and shall be reporting to the Managing Director of the company with a dotted line reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key Purpose of the Position The prime purpose of the position shall be to protect the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth.

- Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team

- Providing strategic financial recommendations to the CEO/ members of the executive management team

- Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting

- Advising on long-term business and financial planning

- Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders

- Reviewing all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures

- Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments





- Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks

- Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure

- Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations

- Manage vendor relationships

- Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports

- Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system

- Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies

- Manage team of financial controllers and financial analysts.

Requirements

CA with a minimum 15 years of post qualification experience in companies preferably in the Pulp and Paper Manufacturing Industry.
- Proven experience as CFO, finance officer or relevant role in the manufacturing industry preferably - Engineering and Infrastructure Construction Industry.

- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices

- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods

- Ability to strategize and solve problems

- Strong leadership and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and people skills
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
