Primary Role Description:

- Lead and manage the medial UnderWriting team to ensure consistent, fair and timely risk assessments
- Develop and update medical UnderWriting guidelines, policies and procedures
- Review and improve complex or high value individual
- Collaborate with actuaries/Product team , sales and legal team to support recent product lauches
- Ensure UW decision comply with Internal standards and regulatory framework
- Provide medical expertise and guidance in interpreting medical records, lab results.
- Mentor and train UnderWriting
- Monitor market trends, competitor practices and emerging medical conditions
- Support audits/Quality Assurance
- Represent UW in external stake holder meetings

Key Requirements – Education & Certificates : Medical Degree (Preferably MBBS) or BAMS and BHMS with relevant experience of 7-10 years in Health insurance medical underwriting management.

Key Requirements - Experience & Skills

- At least 7 years in Health insurance
- Must have handled a team
- Strong leadership/communication and analytical risks
- Knowledge of regulations, law and compliance
- Additional certificate in medical Underwriting will preferred
