About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Lead to join our agile QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of automation engineers, overseeing automation strategy and execution, and ensuring high-quality delivery of automation assets. This role demands hands-on expertise in Katalon Studio and a strong foundation in modern test automation frameworks and practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a team of test automation engineers.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks using Katalon Studio.
- Define automation test strategies, plans, and execution schedules across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Review test scripts and ensure quality standards are met.
- Analyze test results, debug failures, and report defects with clarity.
- Drive adoption of best practices in test automation and continuous testing.
- Manage and monitor execution of automated test suites (functional, regression, API).
- Ensure integration of automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide regular status reports and metrics on automation coverage, stability, and ROI.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Katalon Studio Certified Expert (Mandatory).




- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software test automation
- At least 2–3 years of recent experience using Katalon Studio for test automation
- Strong command of test automation for Web, API, and Mobile platforms.
- Experience in leading and scaling automation teams.
- Proficient in scripting languages like Groovy, Java, or similar.
- Experience integrating automation with tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Git, JIRA, etc.
- Sound knowledge of test management, defect tracking, and QA processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Exposure to cloud-based test execution and cross-browser testing platforms.
- Experience with performance testing is a plus.

Work Environment

- Hybrid model: Required to work from our Pune office two days per week (Wednesday & Thursday) and Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as and when required depending on the project needs (not often)
