Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager - Production to independently handle shop floor fabrication activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical engineering and extensive experience in managing fabrication processes on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

- Shop Floor Management:
- Oversee daily shop floor activities, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes.
- Coordinate and manage the fabrication of products, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians and workers on the shop floor.
- Provide guidance and training to the team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Production Planning:
- Develop and implement production plans to meet project timelines and targets.
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that all fabrication activities comply with quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.




- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Inventory Management:
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and equipment required for fabrication.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Stay updated with the latest fabrication techniques and technologies.

Qualifications:

- Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 7-10 years of experience in shop floor fabrication, with a proven track record of independently handling production activities.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with production planning and inventory management software.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Solid problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in a similar role within the fabrication industry.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Compensation:

- CTC: ₹6 Lacs to ₹10 Lacs per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
