Description

Project Commissioning

- Lead and manage the commissioning process for PV solar plant/ EHV Substation from initial testing to Commissioning and full operation.
- Establish the Protection Philosophy in line with the best Industry practices and the RFQ agreed with the CTU – CEA guidelines.
- Preparation of Test Plans and Protocols and implement with EPC & witness criteria during the Testing & Commissioning phase at Site.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEM for major equipment supplies & protection system for the Test protocol and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate with downstream developers for necessary commissioning protocols and Procedures successful commissioning and Power evacuation.
- Coordinate with LDC and RLDC for end-to-end test and communication systems and adherence of electricity authority regulations.
- Coordinate with CEA inspection authorities and obtaining necessary clearance for commissioning the Substation.
- Field Testing and Pre-commissioning Check List in line with the Substation scope of services and Renewable Projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely project completion in a sequential priority manner for smooth parallel testing progress to achieve the overall completion target.
- Develop and execute comprehensive commissioning plans, including testing procedures for electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Conduct performance testing to validate that systems meet design specifications and efficiency targets.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations,



and environmental guidelines throughout the commissioning process.
- Review and approve technical documentation and test reports.
- Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the commissioning phase, working closely with engineering teams.
- Analyze system performance data to diagnose problems and implement solutions.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Manage the commissioning team, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to schedules.
- Coordination with the PV EPC Contractor & BOP Contractor to commission the project

Educational Qualification

BE/ B. Tech (Electrical)

Functional Skills and Competencies

- Understanding the project commissioning sequence of large-scale Solar PV Projects and EHV substation Projects.
- Experience of having worked at construction project sites and understanding of the challenges faced at the site in commissioning of the solar projects and Substation projects.
- Strong understanding of protection philosophy prevailing in substation and solar PV systems, electrical engineering principles, and relevant software tools.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Solid leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Relevant & total years of Experience

Overall, 10-12 years of experience in power sector, EHV Substation, Switch Yard AIS, GIS & Renewables.

Min. Experience of 5 years at EHV substation commissioning and Solar Project sites (Mandatory)
