Manager
Pricing-Ocean Exports to manage thepricing/quotation process, serving as a single point of contact for all our pricing requirement.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain competitive internal tariffs for all major carriers to all importanttrade lanes.
• Evaluate opportunities to sign long term rate contracts or agreements with majorcarriers.
• Responsible for enabling to win new business through competitive pricingopportunities & creating increased success on existing business through carriermanagement & procurement management;• Establish & maintain a solid working relationship with carriers to ensure bestpossible pricing, capacity & equipment in alignment with our key carriers.
• Identify opportunities to optimise sales and profitability through pricing strategies• Review & act on existing contractual terms or general forwarding business foropportunities to improve net margins through improved procurement;
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Commerce,
Logistics or related fieldplus 10 years of experience with a reputed Freight Forwarder in the job offered, out ofwhich at least 5 years of experience in Ocean Exports Pricing. Should be below 35 years ofage.Should have handled pricing for a minimum volume of 200 containers per month.Skills / Requirements:
• Ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
• Should have handled pricing for Freehand business of minimum 200 containers permonth.
• Should have great connections and relationships with carriers.
• Should know about Service Contracts for US business. Should have the capability tonegotiate contracts and agreements with carriers for Non US business on a long termbasis.
• Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver.
