The Global Client Services (GCS) team supports Grant Thornton in winning international engagements, facilitating cross border service integration between GTIL member firms, and mobilizing talent throughout the international network. GCS manages our International Business Center which is comprised of professionals who act as ambassadors to foster cross-border opportunities for international clients by linking member firms with resources and expertise within the Grant Thornton network. In addition to facilitating the delivery of international business, our team provides coaching on global processes and protocols to ensure the adoption of best practices within the network.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-
Coordinate International / Cross-Border Work
- Participate in or help facilitate key international engagement proposals/pitches to follow best practices and ensure transparency by all member firms involved
- Provide tailored, excellent, highly responsive international business development support to pursuit teams
- Work with the Studio (proposal writing team) and US pursuit teams to research and compile information for credentials, qualifications, client references, etc.
- Interface with GTIL and member firm professionals from the IBSF (International Business Support Function), NCT (Network Capabilities Team), IBCD (International Business Center Directors), and ILD (International Liaison Directors) to help facilitate greater cross-border collaboration and support the pursuit of international opportunities
- Execute on priority projects that support winning international business (e.g.,
strategic targeting)
- Utilize OneView and other innovative technologies to identify and track international client targets and business opportunities
Support International Business and Relationships
- Build in-firm awareness and application of global policies through development of learning materials that will be delivered to external client-facing professionals
- Raise GTUS firm awareness of GCS support capabilities and strengthen the GCS brand domestically and internationally among US pursuit teams and member firms
- Act as an ambassador of the network to foster an environment of collaboration with IBCDs, ILDs, and member firms to drive the successful appointment of international clients
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with counterparts in GTIL member firms for ease of communication and collaboration on proposal opportunities
Other Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Global Client Services Director and the GCS National Managing Principal across a variety of strategic GCS internal projects and initiatives
- Support initiatives helping to implement the GTUS international strategy
- Support the development of network-wide internal infrastructure strengthening projects that contribute to building service line capabilities within the GTIL member firm network
- Work closely with other team members to understand how recent technologies can improve efficiencies in process
QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or equivalent in business, accounting, marketing, communications, or related field
- 5+ years' experience with an accounting and/or professional services firm; marketing experience preferred
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and teams under tight deadlines
- Foreign language skills and practical application abroad are a plus
- Strong interest in learning on the job, solving problems, and working across service lines
- Self-starter with ability to work independently on assignments and initiatives
- Culturally sensitive with agile and collaborative cross-cultural communication skills
- Strategic thinker who thrives in dynamic environments
- Flexible work hours may be required to collaborate with global teams
- Working knowledge of international client services and audit, tax, and advisory capabilities
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills; experience with business communications, proposals, marketing materials, and presentations is helpful
