As an Android Developer at SKO Systems, you will contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of android mobile applications under the guidance of senior team members. Essential Functions / Deliverables

Assist in Android Development Tasks

- Work on assigned tasks like UI development, bug fixing, and feature enhancement

- Follow best practices and coding standards set by the team

- Use Kotlin and Java for mobile app development

Testing & Debugging Support

- Conduct unit tests and manual testing of features

- Collaborate with QA and support teams for bug tracking and resolution

- Learn and apply debugging tools to resolve issues

Learning & Skill Development

- Participate in training sessions and code reviews

- Understand application architecture, version control, and Android SDK

- Actively seek mentorship and feedback

Documentation & Task Updates

- Maintain technical notes and document feature behavior

- Update progress regularly in tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps

- Follow version control protocols (Git)

Cross-functional Coordination

- Attend stand-ups and sprint meetings

- Communicate effectively with senior developers, QA, and designers

- Clarify requirements before starting development

UI/UX Implementation & Testing

- Work with design tools or Figma files to implement layouts

- Test UI for responsiveness and consistency





- Follow Material Design guidelines

API Integration Assistance

- Integrate simple RESTful APIs

- Work with Postman or other tools under supervision

- Ensure proper data handling and error responses

Exposure to Agile Process

- Understand Agile methodology and terminology

- Participate in retrospectives and sprint planning

- Learn about backlog refinement and story estimation

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

Certifications (Preferred): Android Development

Required Professional Experience: 4–5 years of experience in Android application development

Technical/Computer Skills: Kotlin/Java basics, Android SDK, basic understanding of MVVM or MVP, REST APIs, Git, XML-based UI design, IDE (Android Studio)

Professional competencies:

- Robust analytical and object-oriented programming skills

- Ability to translate designs/wireframes into functional applications

- Experience collaborating with backend developers and UI/UX designers

- Code quality maintenance and issue resolution

Preferred work exposure

- Experience working with multiple screen sizes and Android versions

- Prior exposure to end-to-end application development in a team environment
