Job Title: Accountant – Construction Industry

Job Overview:

Our client, a reputed construction company, is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in bookkeeping, tax compliance, GST, Tally data entry, and general accounting functions, with a strong understanding of financial regulations applicable to the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Bookkeeping & Accounting: Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and journals.

- Tally Data Entry: Ensure proper entry of financial transactions in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.

- GST Compliance: Manage GST filings, reconciliations, and compliance with applicable laws.

- Taxation & Compliance: Handle TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory obligations as per regulatory requirements.

- Bank & Vendor Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations for financial accuracy.

- Project Accounting: Track and manage expenses related to construction projects.

- Payroll Assistance: Support payroll processing, including statutory deductions.

- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management review.

- Liaison with Authorities: Work with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

- Educational Qualification: B.Com or higher (M.Com preferred).

- Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.

- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.

- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS,



and income tax laws.

- Experience with bank reconciliations and vendor payments.

- Basic understanding of construction project accounting.

- Other Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Valuable command of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory):

- Experience in handling contractor payments and project-based financial tracking.

- Exposure to auditing processes and compliance reporting.

- Knowledge of accounting software beyond Tally.
