An Accounting Head (or Finance/Head Accountant) directs your company’s financial operations. They oversee financial reporting, maintain internal controls, manage taxation, and lead the accounting team. This role bridges daily bookkeeping with high-level, strategic financial planning and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Financial Management: Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, and prepare accurate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor the accounting department, delegating daily tasks and reviewing financial deliverables.

- Compliance & Audits: Ensure company finances strictly adhere to regulatory standards. Manage all requirements for external auditors.

- Taxation & Payroll: Oversee the calculation and timely submission of tax returns and payrolls (incorporating local tax codes).

- Budgeting & Strategy:



Analyze financial data to advise senior management on budget allocations, forecasting, and cost-reduction opportunities.

Core Requirements

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Banking. (Advanced certifications like CPA, CMA, or CA are highly preferred).

- Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of qualified accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP) and advanced MS Excel.

- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
