Maintain database collections and related data on MongoDB Atlas on Azure cloud
Monitor the overall health parameters of the clusters like CPU Utilization, Memory utilization, Operation Execution times, Replication lag, load balancing of data and queries and identify the stress areas
Be able to trace the stress areas back to the queries causing them, pro-actively profile such queries and suggest improvements
Be able to support deployment of data elements - collections and data - to the database, after ensuring proper approvals
Good experience in upgrading and migrating various versions of MongoDB and on various platforms.
Good experience on advanced queries, query conditionals and aggregation framework.
Participate in scalability testing to ensure a highly responsive database.
In depth understanding of HA and DR strategies with reference to MongoDB
Experience in Mongo utilities like mongostat, mongotop, mongoperf, mongodump and mongorestore etc
Well versed with SDLC processes like Agile and Scrum
Understand customer requirements and existing environments and translate these into configurations that meet performance, scalability and availability needs
Additional (Nice-to-have) Expectations:
Should have a good understanding of database security, in the context of MongoDB
Good working knowledge of Object-Oriented programming using Java/J2EE, n-Tier Architecture, WebServices (REST APIs, SOAP, etc)
Valuable understanding of the full web technology stack (i.e. Rest, API integration, Version control- Git, authentication schemes etc)
Qualifications Needed
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field
Should have atleast 6-8 years of IT experience and with at least 2 years working with MongoDB, preferably Atlas
At least 2 years of exposure to Azure cloud environments.
Experience of creating highly scalable, robust web applications
Self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to work independently
