Role Summary
As an Integration & Interoperability Engineer within the Substation Automation Product Line (SA PL), you will be the technical authority for validating system reliability and performance. You will lead the integration of Control and Protection IEDs, specifically focusing on GOOSE messaging performance, IEC 61850 top-down engineering, and relay configuration. You will act as a bridge between R&D; and regional execution teams, ensuring that our grid automation solutions meet the highest standards of interoperability and operational excellence.
Core Responsibilities
- System Integration & Interoperability: Perform deep-dive integration and interoperability testing for Substation Automation systems. Validate communication architectures, ensuring seamless connectivity across multi-vendor IED environments.
- Performance Validation: Specialize in testing GOOSE (Generic Object Oriented Substation Event)



messaging performance and reliability to ensure sub-millisecond switching and protection coordination under heavy network load.
- Top-Down Engineering: Lead the implementation of top-down engineering workflows. Utilize system configuration tools to manage SCL (Substation Configuration Language) files, ensuring data consistency from design to site commissioning.
- Technical Reporting & Dashboards: Prepare comprehensive technical dashboards and status reports for management, visualizing test results, system bottlenecks, and interoperability compliance metrics.
- Technical Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Provide expert-level support for field issues. Conduct failure analysis, generate detailed technical reports, and lead task forces on strategic projects to resolve complex system anomalies.
