We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager (~12 years experience) to lead our Gaming Unit engineering team.
This is a hybrid leadership and technical role requiring solid backend platform expertise, distributed systems knowledge, delivery ownership, stakeholder engagementincluding international clientsand architectural collaboration.
The ideal candidate understands gaming architectures, high-concurrency systems, real-time scoring workflows, and performance-sensitive APIs.
What You Will Own
Engineering Leadership
- Lead and manage backend engineers across the Gaming Unit
- Drive hiring, mentoring, and performance management
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and technical depth
- Develop strong second-line leaders within the team
Delivery Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery of fantasy, predictors, quiz, and other gaming platform initiatives
- Ensure sprint predictability and release discipline
- Engage with international clients and stakeholders on delivery commitments and technical trade-offs
- Maintain operational stability during high-traffic tournaments and peak events
Technical Depth Architecture Support
- Design and review scalable gaming platform architectures
- Collaborate with the Technical Architect on system evolution
- Drive implementation of real-time or near real-time scoring systems
- Design and optimize scalable leaderboard systems
- Ensure high-performance APIs for gameplay, leaderboards, and contests
- Guide decisions around scalability, performance optimization, resilience, and cost efficiency
Platform System Evolution
- Strengthen multi-tenant architecture and shared services
- Improve performance benchmarking and load testing practices
- Optimize database, caching, and event-driven components
- Drive reusability across gaming variants
SDLC Operational Excellence
- Drive structured SDLC practices and engineering standards
- Improve observability and production monitoring
- Reduce production incidents during live game c
