Company Description Galler India is a Manesar-based electronics and engineering manufacturer building embedded systems, power electronics, and Io T products - energy meters, RTUs, EMS, PDUs, smart UPS, access control systems, and more- for clients including Reliance Jio, Nokia, BSNL, and L&T.;
We're looking for an experienced Mechanical 3 D Designer to own the mechanical design of our electronic and Io T products, from concept and 3 D modeling through to manufacture-ready enclosures and parts.
Role Description
Design mechanical enclosures and components for our electronics and Io T product range, in both plastic and sheet metal
Create detailed 3 D models and 2 D production drawings in Solid Works and Auto CAD
Develop designs optimized for manufacturing — injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and machining
Apply DFM/DFA principles so parts are cost-effective, manufacturable, and easy to assemble
Work closely with our electronics, firmware, and production teams to integrate PCBs, thermal management, and cable routing into enclosure designs
Define material selection, tolerances (GD&T;), and fits for reliable, production-ready parts




Coordinate with tooling vendors and the production floor through prototyping and first-article stages
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in mechanical/product 3 D design, ideally for electronic or Io T products similar to ours
Robust hands-on proficiency in Solid Works and Auto CAD
Solid knowledge of plastic part design (injection molding - draft angles, ribs, bosses, snap-fits) and sheet metal design (bends, K-factor, fabrication)
Practical command of production and manufacturing feasibility - what can and can't be made, and at what cost
Experience designing enclosures for electronics, including mounting, thermal, and ingress protection (IP rating) considerations
Ability to produce clean, manufacture-ready engineering drawings with correct tolerancing
A track record of taking products from concept through to mass production
Good to have
Experience with power electronics, telecom, or industrial product enclosures
Familiarity with EMI/EMC and thermal design considerations
Exposure to busbars, battery packs, or panel/cabinet design
