Applicants join an organization committed to industry-relevant education, innovation, and practical learning.Role Description The Pharma Covigilance/Medical Coding role at IEC College Of Engineering & Technology is a part time, on-site position based in Noida. The role involves reviewing medical records and clinical documentation, applying standardized medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and pharmaceutical data, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines. The professional in this role will support pharmacovigilance activities by coding adverse events, medications, and related clinical information, and by maintaining accurate data for safety reporting and analysis. Responsibilities include collaborating with academic and clinical teams, assisting in training sessions or workshops related to medical coding and pharmacovigilance,
and contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement of coding practices. The role also requires maintaining confidentiality, updating knowledge on coding standards and regulatory requirements, and using relevant software and tools efficiently.QualificationsStrong foundation in medical coding, with demonstrated experience in applying standardized codes (e.g., ICD, CPT, or equivalent) and handling clinical documentation.Knowledge of Health Information Management principles and practices, including data quality, privacy, and documentation standards.Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of pharmaceutical and clinical concepts relevant to pharmacovigilance.Coding experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical settings, with familiarity in pharmacovigilance or drug safety workflows.Relevant credentials such as RHIT or equivalent certification, or eligibility/preparation for such credentials, are highly desirable.Bachelor's degree or diploma in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Health Information Management, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to interpret medical records and clinical reports accurately.Ability to work on-site in Noida, manage part-time schedules, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary academic and clinical teams.Comfort with basic health information systems, coding software, and productivity tools (e.g., MS Office).Interested candidates can DM or mail their CV to:coe@
