About the Role
At Altius we are hiring for a critical role in Legal for the position of Compliances Lead, who will be responsible for driving the implementation of the compliance framework across all functions.
Responsibilities

- Ensure that the organization complies to the various statutory compliances as per telecom laws, local municipal corporate laws, environmental-related laws viz Air Pollution Control Act, Hazardous waste, E-waste Rules, Battery Rules, etc thereby maintaining timely pre-emptive safety for the organization.
- Conduct surveys and research to keep abreast of regulatory developments in the industry and also if the organization is required to abide by those laws or not
- Identify the people/department that would be required to comply with a particular law and coordinate with them for compliance awareness and trainings




- Ensure timely checks and verifications in the compliance process by seeking evidence and maintaining proper documentation (e.g. timely collection of clearance analysis forms from operators, review audit once in a year)
- Conduct risk analysis to identify potential risks and grey areas and accordingly take risk mitigation steps
- Prepare comprehensive documents containing compliance processes to be followed by the entity
- Advise the business/operation team on the regulatory landscape change and its impact on the company with the solution
- Complete compliance management to improve the legal compliance framework for the company for Statutory and Operational Compliance.
- Monitor compliance through the online compliance dashboard portal.

Qualifications

- Education: B. A. LL. B.
- Experience: 12+ years of experience in Legal function, with at least 3-4 years in core compliances
