We're Hiring | Fermentation Scale-Up & Manufacturing Specialist

Fermentry Labs is looking for a hands-on qualified to join our core team and help bridge the gap between fermentation R&D; and commercial manufacturing.
This role will begin within our microbiology and food technology teams, working on pilot-scale fermentation trials, process validation and scale-up activities. The successful candidate will subsequently play a key role in establishing and managing downstream processing and manufacturing operations as we move towards commercial production.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in pilot-scale fermentation trials and process development
Support scale-up from laboratory and pilot batches to commercial production
Manage downstream processing activities including filtration, pasteurization and batch preparation
Coordinate filling, packaging and finished product handling
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, batch records and SOPs
Work closely with microbiology, food technology and quality teams to ensure process consistency
Support implementation of GMP, food safety and quality systems
Coordinate with vendors, manufacturing partners and service providers
Assist in manufacturing setup, commissioning and operational readiness
Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience: 3–5 years

- Food Technology
- Dairy Technology
- Biotechnology
- Bioprocess Engineering
- Microbiology
- Related disciplines

Preferred Industry Exposure:

- Fermented foods
- Fermented beverages
- Dairy processing
- Probiotic products
- Functional beverages
- Nutraceutical manufacturing
- Brewing or fermentation industries

Candidates with hands-on experience in fermentation-based manufacturing or downstream processing operations will be strongly preferred.
