Data Engineer – API & Application IntegrationEmployment Type :Full-timeExperience Level :Mid-Senior LevelWe are currently looking for a highly skilledData Engineer – API & Application Integrationwho thrives on connecting systems, automating data movement, and building scalable integration frameworks that power business operations.If you're passionate about APIs, automation, data reliability, and modern cloud architectures — and want to own a critical part of a company's technology foundation — this role is for you.What You'll DoAs our Integration & Data Engineering specialist, you'll own the design, development, and operational excellence of data flows across multiple business-critical applications.Design, build, and maintain API-driven integrations between internal systems and third-party Saa S platforms such as CRM, ERP, billing, customer success, marketing automation, and analytics tools.Develop scalable synchronization patterns using REST APIs, Graph QL, webhooks, event-driven architectures, and scheduled workflows.Build robust and resilient data pipelines with monitoring, alerting, retries, recovery mechanisms, and dead-letter queue handling.Manage authentication and authorization frameworks including OAuth2, API tokens, service accounts, and secure credential management.Transform and map data across disparate systems while maintaining data integrity and consistency.Handle API limitations including rate limits, pagination, throttling,



and large-scale historical backfills.Create operational dashboards and monitoring capabilities to proactively identify and resolve integration failures.Evaluate and recommend modern Integration Platform as a Service (i Paa S) solutions such as Workato, Mule Soft, Boomi, , or Celigo.Establish integration standards, documentation, runbooks, and best practices across the organization.Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams to onboard new applications and integrations.What We're Looking For Required4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Integration Engineering, Backend Engineering, or a related discipline.Strong Python development experience for API consumption, data transformation, and automation.Deep understanding of REST APIs and modern integration patterns.Experience working with Graph QL APIs and webhook architectures.Strong SQL skills with experience querying and optimizing large datasets.Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses including Snowflake, Big Query, or Amazon Redshift.Solid understanding of OAuth2, API security, authentication flows, and credential management.Experience handling JSON, XML, schema mapping, and data transformation workflows.About Janaa (EOR)This role is offered throughJanaa Consulting Services , a trustedEmployer of Record (EOR).
