Key
Responsibilities
1. State
Business Delivery & Growth
- Drive monthly and annual GWP targets for the state
across all GI product lines (Motor, Health, PA, Fire, Commercial, Crop,
etc.).
- Monitor performance at cluster/district levels and
implement corrective action plans.
- Identify new growth pockets, emerging segments, and
high‑potential rural markets.
2.
Leadership & Team Management (Cluster Leads & Field Teams)
- Lead, mentor, and manage Cluster Leads and extended
field teams across the state.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews, capability‑building
sessions, and strategic planning meetings.
- Ensure disciplined execution of sales processes,
field governance, and compliance.
3.
Distribution Expansion (POSP & Corporate Channels)
- Drive expansion of POSP networks through Cluster
Leads and RAs.
- Improve POSP activation, productivity, persistency,
and overall quality of business.
- Identify, onboard, and activate state‑level
corporate partners — FPOs, Cooperatives, Agri‑Value Chain partners, NBFC‑MFIs,
SHG networks, dealer groups, etc.
- Strengthen both retail and institutional business
contributions.
4. Field
Operations, Planning & Execution
- Ensure structured field coverage across districts
and rural markets.
- Review weekly/monthly field execution plans
submitted by Cluster Leads.
- Oversee campaigns, activations, customer outreach,
and market‑development activities.
- Gather and share market intelligence and
competition insights with leadership.
5. MIS,
Reporting & Business Monitoring
- Review state dashboards, sales funnels,
productivity metrics, and micro‑performance indicators.
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of MIS by
clusters.
- Work closely with HO for business analytics,
performance dashboards,
and product/category insights.
6. Cross‑Functional
Coordination & Issue Resolution
- Liaise with HO teams — Operations, Underwriting,
Claims, IT, Finance, HR — for state -level requirements.
- Resolve operational, technical, and process issues
impacting field performance.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory norms, internal
guidelines, and SLA timelines.
7.
Capability Building & Knowledge Enhancement
- Drive product knowledge, training, and refresher
programs across the state.
- Strengthen field capability in underwriting basics,
customer onboarding, claims processes, and POSP enablement.
- Ensure consistent communication of product changes,
system enhancements, and policy updates.
Requirements
? Skills & Competencies
- Robust leadership with multi -level team management
experience.
- Deep understanding of rural markets, customer
behavior, and geography.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building
abilities.
- Strong analytical, planning, and execution
capabilities.
- Target -driven, disciplined, and highly accountable.
- Ability to engage with both field teams and
corporate stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MIS, dashboards, and business
performance monitoring.
? Qualification &
Experience
· Graduate; MBA preferred.
· 6–10 years of experience in BFSI/Insurance/Rural
Distribution/Sales Management.
· Minimum 2–4 years of team -handling experience at
cluster/area/state level.
· Experience in General Insurance, POSP/Agency
models, or Rural Channel Management is an added advantage.
