- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis for project costs.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor quotes and supplier prices.
- Manage contracts, including variation orders and claims.
- Monitor project progress and track actual costs versus budgets.
- Advise on contractual and financial issues during project execution.
- Prepare and present regular cost reports and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and safety standards.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers.
- Participate in project meetings and provide commercial input.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas sectors.
- Proficient in cost estimating tools and software (e.g., CostX, Candy, MS Excel).
- Solid knowledge of contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, JCT).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Professional certification (e.g., RICS, MRICS, AIQS) is an advantage.
