At Eaton India Innovation Center, Electrical Risk Management Center of Excellence is currently seeking a u0027Lead Engineer - Reliabilityu0027 to join our team! This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune. In Eaton, making our work exciting, engaging, meaningful; ensuring safety, health, wellness; and being a model of inclusion u0026 diversity are already embedded in who we are - itu2019s in our values, part of our vision, and our clearly defined aspirational goals. nnThe core responsibilities of this position are as follows: n\- Work with product SME to influence design by introducing novel ideas to mitigate reliability risks u0026 also optimize product performance. n\- Work as SME to Independently deliver Design for Reliability (DFR) in electrical product development programs. n\- Create short term u0026 long term technology maturity roadmaps of Design for Reliability on electrical components. n\- Lead PoF-based reliability assessments for electrical/electronic products as well cooling system solutions used in data centers. n\- Plan and conduct reliability life testing, leveraging Eatonu2019s internal test labs and external agencies as appropriate. n\- Develop data analytics-based solutions by utilizing testing data from electrical/electronic products in the area of reliability life modeling. n\- Provide technical menotoring to new talent on haldling the critical issues and/or project deliverables. n\- Reduce warranty defects through optimized burn-in strategies in close collaboration with respective plants, and drive problem-solving methods within the organizationu2014such as FRACAS and Shainin Red Xu2014in new product development and/or existing product engineering." nn"A.



Technology Responsibilities n\- Coordinate with business stakeholders to align on current capabilities within the reliability domain and identify new ALT/test optimization opportunities. n\- Work towards creating the short team u0026 long term technology roadmaps to mature existing technologies or build current capabilities n\- Drive initiatives to deploy risk mitigation strategies within the organization, including implementing problem-solving methods in new product development and/or existing product improvements across cross-functional teams.nnB. Program Responsibilities n\- Provide technical leadership on the assigned business portfolio by managing stakeholder engagement. n\- Plan project milestones, execute planned deliverables, conduct deliverable reviews, communicate with stakeholders, and support on-the-job development through technical mentoring. n\- Create and/or revise reliability deliverables such as Reliability Program Plans, Reliability Predictions, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Highly - Accelerated Life Tests (HALT), and Reliability Demonstration Tests (RDT) for new product development programs.nnC. Extended Responsibilities n\- Lead RM-level initiatives and contribute through meaningful personal value addition. n\- Provide guidance and technical mentoring to engineers to ensure quality u0026 first time right on deliverables.nnD. Individual Contributor Responsibilities n\- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Design for Reliability (DfR) for NPD programs primarily related to data centers, ensuring identification, management, and mitigation of reliability risks. n\- Understand project requirements and solve problems independently through discussions with local and global stakeholders.



n\- Demonstrate innovative thinking and instill strong rigor within the team to generate intellectual property (patents, trade secrets, technical papers). n\- Exhibit a continuous improvement mindset to deliver value in terms of cost, quality, and schedule." nn## Qualifications:nn"Required: Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. nPreferred: Masters in Electrical/Electronics/Power Electronics//Reliability engineering." nRequired: Bachelors degree with 8+ experience or Masters degree with 6+ years experience in Electrical/Electronics product reliability n nnn## Skills:nn"u2022 Proficiency in DfR process like system reliability modeling, goal setting, allocation, prediction, demonstration (life data analysis, reliability growth analysis u0026 ALT) nu2022 Proficiency in reliability standards such as MIL-HDBK-217F, NPRD, Telcordia nu2022 Knowledge in FRACAS and reducing field/warranty data into relevant life and failure rate information. nu2022 Desired: Relevant work experience in the field of Electronics and Electrical systems for data centers. nu2022 Preferred: DFSS GB certified from reputed organization and ASQ u2013 CRE. nu2022 Experience with any industry proven reliability analysis suite of tools.
