Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Gems & Jewellery Park, Ichhapore, Surat

Salary Range: Up to ₹55,000 per month

Experience Required: 7–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role. Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a manufacturing industry is mandatory.

Job Overview

A reputed and fast-growing gold chain manufacturing company in Surat is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. The role requires strong expertise in ERP/Tally, taxation, financial controls, and team guidance. Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent hands-on experience in a manufacturing setup. Jewellery industry experience will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

- Manage sales & purchase accounting, invoice/PO generation, GR approvals, and inter-company reconciliations.

- Handle detailed month-end closing and full ERP utilization for transactions.

- Prepare monthly balance sheet, P&L;, cash flow, budgets, and variance analysis.

- Consolidate accounts across sister concerns.

Vouching & Posting

Verify and post expenses, provisions, vendor payments, and necessary adjustments.

Treasury & Banking

- Manage payments/receipts, bank reconciliations, cash flow planning, and fund management.





- Liaise with banks for finance requirements and documentation.

- Oversee salary processing.

Internal Control & Commercials

- Implement and monitor financial controls, internal compliance, and policies.

- Scrutinize purchase indents, manage procurement planning, inventory, insurance, and EPCG documentation.

Taxation & Compliance

- Manage GST, TDS, income tax, PF/PT, and other statutory compliances.

- Coordinate with auditors and ensure timely filing/reporting.

Team Guidance

Support and guide junior accountants and cross-department teams for compliance and documentation needs.

Other Responsibilities

Draft/comprehend commercial contracts and assist management with ad-hoc financial tasks.

Requirements

- Qualification: M.Com / B.Com (with relevant experience)

- Experience: 7–8 years in accounting, with at least 2 years of recent experience in manufacturing industry (mandatory)

Skills:

- Proficiency in Tally/ERP systems and MS Excel

- Solid knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and financial reporting

- Ability to lead a small team and coordinate across departments

- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and strong communication
