Role Description The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for MEPF works, including quantity take-offs, BOQs, and pricing based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions. Day-to-day activities include analyzing tender documents, coordinating with design, project, and procurement teams, and obtaining and evaluating quotations from vendors and subcontractors. The role involves conducting technical and commercial comparisons, supporting negotiations, and updating cost databases to reflect current market rates. The Estimation Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers to refine budgets, support bid submissions, and ensure estimates align with project timelines and quality standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
Electrical Engineering and related industrial engineering knowledge, with a solid understanding of industrial projects.
Project Estimation and BOQ preparation skills,



including quantity take-off and cost analysis from drawings and specifications.
Research and market analysis abilities to gather and validate current material, labor, and subcontractor rates.
Negotiation skills for working with vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on pricing and commercial terms.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; diploma with relevant experience may be considered.
Proficiency in estimation and MS Office tools; familiarity with AutoCAD , MS Project software is an advantage.
Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
Positive written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Previous experience in EPC/industrial construction projects is preferred.
