The project implements targeted activities to advance One Health planning and enhance AFI/ADD surveillance through strategic coordination, capacity building,



and system strengthening.

The Laboratory Technician/ Assistant will support field and laboratory operations for surveillance of Acute Febrile Illness (AFI) and Acute Diarrheal Disease (ADD), including patient enrolment support, specimen collection, sample transport, laboratory processing/testing support, and accurate documentation/data entry.

The lab Technician/ Assistant will coordinate closely with clinicians, surveillance teams, and laboratory staff to ensure timely, complete, and high-quality laboratory-supported surveillance in accordance with approved protocols, testing algorithms, and quality and biosafety standards.

Responsibilities

Patient Enrolment Support and Specimen Collection
Support clinicians and surveillance staff in enrolling eligible patients as per the study/protocol requirements.
Collect clinical specimens as per protocol, including blood, throat swab, urine, and stool
