About Position:

The Java Architect - Security will be responsible for defining and delivering secure, scalable, and resilient Java-based microservices architectures. The role requires strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, OAuth, and JSON Web Token (JWT), along with the ability to establish security standards and guide engineering teams through solution design and implementation.

What You'll Do:

Define the end-to-end architecture for secure, scalable, and highly available Java-based microservices applications.
Design and govern authentication and authorisation solutions using OAuth and JSON Web Token (JWT).
Establish architecture principles, coding standards, reusable patterns, and security best practices for Java and Spring Boot services.
Lead technical design reviews and provide architecture guidance to development and engineering teams.




Design secure REST APIs and service-to-service communication patterns across distributed systems.
Ensure appropriate implementation of token validation, access control, session handling, secrets management, and secure configuration practices.
Identify application security risks and collaborate with security, infrastructure, DevOps, and delivery teams on remediation plans.
Guide performance optimisation, resiliency, observability, and scalability of microservices-based solutions.
Support solution estimation, technical planning, dependency management, and delivery governance.
Mentor development teams and drive continuous improvement through architecture reviews, technical documentation, and engineering best practices.
