About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Purchase Executive to support our procurement function, with a specific focus on packaging materials. The role involves vendor coordination, price negotiation, order follow-up and ensuring material availability so that production and dispatch schedules are never disrupted.

Key Responsibilities
• Source and procure packaging materials such as bottles, caps, HDPE/LDPE containers, laminates, pouches, labels, cartons, shrink film and corrugated boxes.
• Float enquiries, collect quotations, prepare comparative statements and support negotiation on rate, payment terms and delivery timelines.
• Prepare and release purchase orders in the ERP and track them till material receipt.
• Coordinate with production, planning, stores and QC teams to understand material requirements and consumption patterns.
• Follow up with vendors on dispatch schedules,



pending quantities and delivery commitments.
• Support vendor development by identifying alternate suppliers and helping evaluate them on cost, quality and reliability.
• Verify invoices against PO and GRN, and coordinate with accounts for timely payment processing.
• Maintain purchase records, rate history, vendor master data and procurement MIS reports.
• Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels, reorder points and avoiding excess or shortage situations.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policy, quality standards and applicable statutory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Graduate in any discipline. B.Com, BBA, B.Sc (Agriculture) or Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or Materials Management preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in purchase or procurement, with hands-on exposure to buying packaging material.
