We are hiring: Chef de Cuisine / Senior Sous Chef – Sorano Mumbai Opening

Sorano is opening in Mumbai, and we are looking for a hands-on chef to be part of the opening kitchen leadership team.

This role is for someone from the world of modern standalone restaurants — someone who loves food, service, tastings, specials, and building a kitchen from the ground up.

You may currently be a Senior Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Junior Head Chef, or a robust second-in-command looking for your next big step.

We are looking for someone who is:
- Strong with flavour, prep, plating, and consistency
- Comfortable with Italian-led comfort food, pastas, sauces, grills, snacks, and seasonal specials
- Hands-on in the kitchen, not a hotel-style desk chef
- Calm under pressure and good with teams
- Curious, sharp, up-to-date, and product-driven




- Able to work closely with the founders and Group Culinary Director
- Interested in tastings, trials, menu development, and guest feedback
- Excited to help create a kitchen culture that is young, ambitious, fun, and proud of the food it puts out

This is not a hotel Executive Chef desk role.

We are looking for someone who can cook, lead, taste, improve, train, and grow with a serious restaurant brand.
