Position Overview
The Proposal Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and compliant technical and commercial quotations in response to customer RFQs, RFPs, and tenders. The role acts as a key bridge between Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to ensure every proposal is technically sound, cost-effective, and aligned with customer requirements and company capabilities.

Key Responsibilities1. RFQ and Tender Analysis
Review and interpret customer RFQs, RFPs, ITTs, tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, standards, and delivery requirements.
Identify ambiguities, raise clarification queries, and define assumptions and exclusions.
Determine the technical scope, deliverables, and compliance requirements.
2. Technical Solution Development
Develop tailored technical solutions that meet customer requirements while optimizing cost and minimizing risk.
Perform basic engineering calculations, layout concepts, and feasibility checks as required.
Evaluate alternative configurations and value-engineering options to improve competitiveness.

Cost Estimation and Commercial Input
Prepare detailed cost estimates for equipment, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, installation, and services.
Coordinate with Procurement to obtain vendor and subcontractor quotations for bought-out items and third-party services.
Work with Finance and Commercial teams to develop pricing, margins, payment terms, and commercial conditions.
4. Proposal Preparation and Submission
Prepare complete techno-commercial proposals, including technical write-ups, datasheets, drawings, BOMs, compliance matrices, schedules, and terms and conditions.
Ensure proposals meet internal approval processes and customer tender requirements.
Maintain organized proposal documentation for audit, handover, and future reference.

Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Project Management teams to validate technical feasibil
