Gigamon is seeking a Sr. Staff Hardware Engineer to join a small, dynamic global team focused on developing innovative networking and optical products. In this role, they will lead board-level hardware design, bring-up, and validation activities while contributing to system architecture and functional specifications.



They will also partner closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, product operations, product management, software, and manufacturing, to deliver reliable, high-performance products. This position plays a key role in supporting recent product development, sustaining existing platforms, and driving successful execution with manufacturing and JDM/ODM/OEM partners.
What you’ll do:
- Define high-level system design specifications and create hardware functional specifications.
- Design, bring up, and validate board-level digital circuits for networking, embedded, and optical products.
- Develop CPLD and glue logic using Verilog RTL.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering on mechanical and thermal solutions, as well as system assembly and integration.
- Partner with product operations and product management teams to support product development and delivery.
