Take on a new challenge and apply your technical costing expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in shaping cost-efficient designs and fostering a cost-conscious culture within the engineering team. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Engineering Managers, Train Design Engineers, Sourcing Teams), support the development-to-cost way of working, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of creating cost models for product families and evaluating technical costs,
but also contribute to design or process improvements to achieve cost reductions.
We’ll look to you for:
Applying or developing methodologies to calculate the technical cost of components/systems throughout the product development cycle
Performing cost analysis on components/systems
Proposing improvements in design or manufacturing processes to reduce technical costs
Promoting a cost-conscious culture within the engineering team
Providing detailed cost breakdowns to support supplier negotiations
Sharing feedback from suppliers and formalizing cost-saving opportunities
