This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Insurance Program Coordinator based in India.
This role is responsible for coordinating health insurance programs supporting J-1 participants and their eligible J-2 dependents.
You will serve as a key liaison between program sponsors, participants, internal teams, and external insurance providers.
The position combines participant support, insurance administration, regulatory compliance, documentation, and reporting.
You will ensure coverage remains accurate and compliant with U.S. Department of State requirements throughout each participant’s program.
The role also provides opportunities to improve processes, develop resources, and strengthen the overall participant experience.
Success requires robust organization, attention to detail, communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
This is a full-time remote opportunity based in India, working with international stakeholders and U.S.-focused insurance processes.

Accountabilities:




Serve as the primary insurance liaison for J sponsors, internal program teams, participants, and external insurance providers.
Enroll J-1 participants in appropriate insurance plans and support eligible J-2 dependents with enrollment.
Guide participants on insurance coverage, benefits, claims, provider access, and available resources, explaining U.S. health insurance concepts clearly and empathetically.
Conduct follow-up outreach through calls, emails, and messages regarding enrollment, payments, documentation, and other outstanding requirements.
Ensure J-1 and J-2 insurance coverage complies with applicable U.S. Department of State requirements and maintain accurate records throughout each participant’s program.
Track coverage effective dates, enrollment updates, payment status, and other compliance information while maintaining audit-ready documentation.
