Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Database Administrator (DBA III) to manage and optimize our mission-critical database platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and strong operational knowledge of up-to-date distributed databases including MongoDB, Cassandra, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch.
You will play a critical role in ensuring database reliability, performance, security, scalability, and operational excellence across Phenom's cloud-native infrastructure.



This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, automation mindset, and experience supporting large-scale production environments.
What You'll Do
Aurora PostgreSQL Administration & Performance
Own the administration, availability, performance, and scalability of Aurora PostgreSQL clusters.
Perform advanced performance tuning using:
Parameter Groups
pg_stat_statements
AWS Performance Insights
Vacuum / Autovacuum optimization
Query execution plan analysis and optimization
Diagnose and resolve production performance bottlenecks.
Establish and maintain database performance baselines and capacity plans.
High Availability, Disaster Recovery & Upgrades
Support HA/DR operations for business-critical databases.
Execute Aurora PostgreSQL version upgrades using Blue/Green deployment strategies.
Monitor replication health and perform controlled switchovers with minimal downtime.
